About Grupo Poéticas Digitais
Grupo Poéticas Digitais was created in 2002 at the Department of Plastic Arts at ECA-USP, as an offshoot of the wAwRwT project initiated by Gilbertto Prado in 1995. The intention is to generate a multidisciplinary nucleus, promoting the development of experimental projects and reflection on the impact of new technologies in the field of arts. The Group's participants are artists, researchers and students with different compositions in each project. Grupo Poéticas Digitais has already presented its work in several exhibitions in Brazil and abroad and received the 6th Sérgio Motta Art and Technology Award, 2006 (Cozinheiro das Almas); Nomination for the multichannel multimedia installation award - 12th International Festival of Digital Arts and Cultures of Gran Canaria, Spain, 2006 (Acaso30); notice for the exhibition Emoção Art.ficial 5.0, V Art and Technology Biennial, 2010; Rumos Itaú Cultural, 2020, among others. Gilbertto Prado and Grupo Poéticas Digitais have works in the collections of MAC_USP (Amoreiras, Cozinheiro das Almas, Telescanfax), at the National Museum of the Republic in Brasília (Encontros), among other collections.
Currently the group is composed of: Gilbertto Prado, Agnus Valente, Ana Elisa Carramaschi, Andréa Graciano, Andrei Thomaz, Juliana Henno, Leonardo Lima, Lucila Meirelles, Luciana Ohira, Matheus Montanari, Maurício Trentin and Sérgio Bonilha.
